Il giorno 5 ottobre 2017 alle ore 19:00 la galleria Doppelgaenger presenta la mostra Heritage, personale dell’artista Andreas Senoner. I nuovi lavori sono in stretta continuità con le opere presentate in galleria nel 2016 nella mostra “Metamorphosis” e in tal senso sono il riflesso del titolo che l’artista ha scelto per questa sua nuova produzione: Heritage.
“…pensando alla parola eredità mi ha incuriosito il suo significato nel campo della biologia, dove costituisce la proprietà insita negli esseri viventi di trasmettere ai discendenti la propria forma specifica, le proprie caratteristiche individuali… ”
Da queste riflessioni e da queste coniugazioni delle genetiche artistiche Senoner ha creato dieci opere inedite che si presentano come le pagine di un diario, dove l’artista riprende il tema dell’autoritratto quale momento di un percorso sul proprio “patrimonio ereditario”: i suoi ricordi d’infanzia, le esperienze vissute, l’Alto Adige dove è nato e cresciuto e la scelta dei legni a lui cari e ricercati come il tiglio, il noce e il cipresso che si combinano con altri materiali per esplorare le opportunità della scultura lignea, spesso caratterizzata dalle cromie dei verdi e dei gialli, dando vita ad un’ars combinatoria che tra materia e immagine rende le sculture delle vere e proprie icone.

On 5 October 2017 at 19:00 the Doppelgaenger gallery will present the one–man show Heritage by the artist Andreas Senoner. The new works are in close continuity with those exhibited in the gallery in 2016 for his show Metamorphosis and in this sense they reflect the title chosen by the artist for his new production: Heritage.
“…thinking of the word inherited, I became curious about its meaning in the field of biology in which it is the intrinsic property of living beings to transmit to their descendants their own specific form, their own individual features…”
From these reflections and conjunctions of artistic genetics Senoner has created ten new pieces that present themselves like the pages of a diary in which the artist takes up the theme of the self portrait as a moment in the quest for his own “inheritance”: his childhood memories, his lived experiences, the region of Alto Adige where he was born and raised; as well as the choice of his favourite types of wood, walnut, cypress and limewood, which he combines with other materials in order to explore the possibilities of wooden sculpture, often characterised by tonalities of greens and yellows, thereby giving life to an ars combinatoria, between material and image, that makes of his sculptures veritable icons.
